Pachycephalosaurus is a plant eating dinosaur which lived approximately 75 million years ago during the late Cretaceous Period. The Pachycephalosaurus is believed to have grown to be about 15 feet long and probably weighed in excess of 900 pounds.
This dinosaur is known for its five-fingered claws, their long powerful legs and clawed feet with long toes. This dinosaur is mostly known for it's it thick domed skull.
This dinosaur’s impressive skull could be as thick as ten inches. This skull plate was also surrounded by bony knobs. Some paleontologists believe that this skull plate was used by the dinosaurs as a self-defense mechanism.
The Pachycephalosaurus was a bipedal herbivore with an extremely thick skull roof. It possessed long hindlimbs and small forelimbs. The Pachycephalosaurus was also among the last non-avian dinosaurs before the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.
